The Statement of the Iranian Association of Women's Studies on the occasion of International Women's Day (8 March 2026)
For Iranian women and girls, 8th of March 2026, shall be forevermore reminder of war, blood and fire. On the occasion during which they were supposed to celebrate the International Women's Day, they are mourning martyrdom of their Supreme Leader and those girls and women who sacrificed their pure souls during the imposed war waged by the front of arrogant aggressors against the resistant nation of Iran. We appreciate and value the occasion of 8th March 2026 for the sake of Mothers of Minab, for the sake of all Iranian women and girls who treasure Iran more than their souls, for the sake of those who don't barter soil of Iran for wealth and power of hostile outsiders, for the sake of those who firmly stand next to Iran and patriotic Iranians. Today is a day for all of us, certainly not for those who have capitalised women's rights to achieve political positions, to gain advantages or to persuade hostile outsiders to aggressively invade Iran's territory. On the occasion of 8th March 2026, relying on a quarter of a century of continuous efforts to educate and to promote women's rights, we, the members of the Iranian Association of Women's Studies, while strongly denouncing the imposed war against the ancient territory of proud Iran, emphasize on our definite endorsement of Iran's territorial integrity and independence and we explicitly declare our endurance on the challenging path of promoting women's rights within the framework of Iranian-Islamic values. The 8th of March 2026 is considered to be an opportunity of the utmost value, though coinciding tribulations of war, still, without interruption, it reinforces our resolution to maintain our active efforts to promote peace and stability in Iran and worldwide. We recall the truth of the upcoming triumph of God; victorious is only God and victory is approaching. |
